The “phrase time is money” is much deeper than most people think. Time is more precious than money. Think about it. If someone loses any amount of money with time and arduous work, he or she can gain it back with an increase. That is not so with time.

Everyone is allotted a certain amount of time on this earth. No one knows the day he or she will arrive on this planet. No one knows exactly when their time on earth is up. For this reason, people must figure out as quickly as possible what their mission, purpose, and/or passion is for this time in history.

So many people leave this earth without fulfilling their dreams and goals. As my grandmother used to say, do all you can do to complete your life’s journey while the blood is warm in your veins.

One must always choose the correct individuals to spend their energy and emotions. Any person that drains the positive energy needed to accomplish goals should be avoided. The company one keeps can make a difference between success and defeat.

I have learned so many things through trial and error. However, I learned So much from a mentor I had a few years ago. She was the first and only black woman VP for the company I am employed with. Her philosophy is to spend time with people that pour into you so you can pour into others.

So many people waste time including myself on people who do not have a clue of what they want to accomplish. Everyone must come to an understanding that one human cannot fix another human. With patience and kindness, a person can help another person come to the realization that wasting time causes them to lose out on opportunities.

Everything we as humans do is based on time. There is a time for everything in life.

3. A time to plant

4. A time to pluck up

5. A time to kill

6. A time to heal

7. A time to break down

8. A time to build up

9. A time to weep

10. A time to laugh

11. A time to mourn

12. A time to dance

13. A time cast stones

23. A time for war

24. A time for peace

So, we can see that we live in time. Everything in life is on a schedule. There comes a time in everyone’s life when we cannot do the things we could when we were younger. There comes a time when we cannot do anything because we fall asleep and do not wake up until eternity.

Life is short. In America, the average life span is 79.5. I say everyone should live life to the best of their God-given abilities. Do not waste time worrying about what people think. There is only one real judge of us all.

I know some do not believe the way I believe. That is ok because I have not always believed. Because we are restrained by time, most of us believe everyone should be on the level are on at any given moment. I have learned this just is not true.

Life is an ever-learning experience. We come here as babies dependent on our parents. We learn to depend on ourselves. Then for some, we learn to depend on God. Again, all are based on time and in time.

I personally find it interesting to spend time with folks who do not think like me. That will not change my mind about my core beliefs, but it gives me a distinct perspective. It helps me consider that person’s experience and views.

We must value the time we have on earth and become more alert as to how we spend our time.
