Be The Difference

In a World of Compromise

As I look at the world today, most Christians are afraid to be different. To have a different perspective than those around them and those on the social media scene is almost nonexistent.

I know my views often times are not popular. I am so comfortable with my beliefs. I have never fit in a particular mold anyway.

I have decided to dare to be different in this world of compromise.

We are responsible to God the father who has power over both body and soul. I think some have forgotten about this fact.

I have read a lot of different articles on different social media platforms as well as the traditional forms of news media. I ran across some articles in various places condemning the Christian way of life.

One would most likely think I would be angry or have a righteous indictment on the persons who wrote these articles. I do not. Infact, I feel sympathy. Why, you may ask?

What I feel is these people are souls that have not recognized just how much the Lord God Almighty loves them. He sent Jesus to die for our sins because he knew we could not fulfill the law.

In the past, I would have been so angry. Now, I have come to a deeper understanding because I remember myself before Christ.

I grew up in church. Learned bible verses and song in the choir. I attended every auxiliary (Sunday school, Sunshine Band, YPWW, Purity, and more).

I gave my heart to Christ at a young age, but I left the church and vowed to never go back. I was never angry with God. I was upset with people.

God in his grace and mercy saw fit to draw me back to him 25 years ago.

For those who do not know I have been Church of God in Christ (COGIC) for most of my life.

If God can show me so much grace and mercy, I must show it to others. This way of thinking lets me know I have grown so much in recent years.

So, my growth has brought me back to my love of the Bible.

It brings life, correction, conviction, salvation, and eternal life.

Again, I live to be different for Christ. As it is written in II Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: Old things are passed away: behold, all things are become new.”

So, my brothers and sisters in Christ we have to dare to be different now.

Life on this side of heaven is not going to become easier because the scripture says perilous times will come.

If we cannot be different in these times, what will we do when the real trouble comes.

Do not fall for things that do not line up with the word of God. Is the compromise worth the end result?

Be blessed and be a blessing 🥰 🙏.
