Be encouraged

This week reminds me of a song. The lyrics simply say encourage yourself. "Sometimes you have to encourage yourself. Sometimes you have to speak victory during the test. No mater how you feel speak the word and you will be speak over yourself, encourage yourself in the Lord." Between work and family, life has been a challenge.

I don't like to be on a soap box complaining about everything. I must confess the last few weeks I have been on one. I was upset. A person I gave a chance when nobody would lied to get their way. It took me a minute to get over it. In this very moment I can say I have forgiven the person. It is not the person, but it is the spirit that lies on the inside. My responsibility is to pray for the person.

I had to repent because even though life has been a challenge, I still see the goodness of God. I know within my heart that we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against wickedness in high places Ephesians 6:12. So I had to tell myself; the battle is not mine it is the Lord's. One thing about life problems happen great and small, but if you trust in the Lord Jesus he will see you through them all.
