Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.

Proverbs 22:6 NKJV

So this has been a busy day. I thank God for letting me make it thru another Monday work day. After work, I had to pick my oldest son up from soccer practice. One of his team mates needed a ride to his baseball practice of course I took him.

After dropping off my son friend/ team mate, my 14 year old son tells me about this 13 year old girl that now he says is his girl friend. He is excited. Now I thank God he is telling me he likes this girl, but I don't think I am ready for this phase. It is natural. It just brings up some bible truths that I have been trying to teach my children.

First of all, one should think about if the people they associate with believe the way he or she believe. We believe there is 1 God head (God the father, the son, and the holy ghost) . We believe there is only 1 way to the father that is thru the son Jesus Christ. We believe in the virgin birth. We believe in death, burial, and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. We believe that the bible is the word of God.

So I asked him does she go to church and he said yes. Apparently they both attend the school bible club. It just seems that some of these girls growing up these days are a little more aggressive than in my day. The truth is I am just not ready for my baby boy to be so into this little girl. Pray my strength in the Lord.
