Leap of Faith

I am a wife (23 years) and mother of 3 busy boys (14, 12, and 8). Sometimes life gets a little challenging as I juggle work and home. Most importantly I am a believer/follower of Jesus Christ. It is my deepest desire to be a blessing wherever I go. God is moving me in a direction that has led me to start this blog. For we walk by faith and not sight as believers. I do know how long I will have this blog neither do I know how much of myself I will share with the readers. The only thing I know is for such a time as this I am here to share my views on life as God leads me to do so.

Today I read a post on Facebook that read would you allow your daughter to wear this to the prom. In the post there was a picture of a beautiful young black girl around 17 or 18 dressed in a very revealing 2 piece dress. Of course there were many opinions on the subject. There are so many influences from the world. We have to be diligent and deliberate with our teaching. Tell the truth in love. Teach our girls about life. It does not start when you pick out the prom dress. It starts when they can understand what you are saying to them.

As a Christian, we have to look beyond the actions and see the soul. Christ died for us all. none of us come into the world knowing how to live a holy life. We have to take time out not only with our own children but others as well. Everyone does not have the same background. I for instance had a paradox of a childhood. I grew up in the church but I also suffered child abuse. Love and kindness have I drawn thee one scripture says. Lets walk in love at all times.

Be blessed
